Obituary For Dennis Gerald Morrison

Dennis Morrison, resident of the DeBolt area, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at the family home, at the age of 76.

Dennis was born March 9, 1942 near Sexsmith, AB. He homesteaded his new land north of DeBolt and built the family’s log house where he and his wife Mona raised their four boys.

Dennis was known by friends and family for his humour, kindness, and gentle nature. Along with his wife, Mona, he freely shared his musical ability on Sundays at their local Catholic Church. Dennis enjoyed bluegrass music, good comedy, and the peaceful rural way of life he had created for his family.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Mona; children: Chad, Cody, Riley (Christine), and Rio; and grandchildren: Sarah, Paige, Josh, Evangeline, and Isabella.

He provided an unparalleled example of manhood for his four sons and has left behind a legacy of music, faith, and service to his fellow man.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).

Memorial donations may be made to Knights of Columbus c/o St. Rita’s Catholic Church (Box 248, Valleyview, AB, T0H 3N0).
