Obituary For Diane Rose Conrad
Diane Rose Conrad, resident of Grande Cache, AB, formerly of Queens County, NS, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 73 years.
Diane was born on May 26, 1945 in Caledonia, NS. She raised three children while running a successful logging company with her husband. She loved to garden, bake, and spend her days on the water fishing and swimming.
Diane was soft spoken, kind hearted, loved animals, and was a hard worker. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and spending time with her grandkids.
She will be sadly missed by her husband James Conrad; children: Angela Francis (nee Conrad), Heather Conrad (Shawn Baker), and Christopher Conrad (Renee Hancock); grandchildren: Gracie Baker, Matthew Francis, Chyanne Francis, Tristan Conrad, Emily Conrad, and Alea Conrad; great-granddaughter Chloe Francis; as well as Samantha and Greg Wood who became very good friends of hers in Grande Cache.
She was predeceased by her parents Harvey MacLean and Muriel MacLean (nee Joudrey), and her brother David MacLean.
There will be no service as per Diane’s request. A small gathering of family and friends will be held in February, date and time to be announced.

Our Sincere condolences to the family. We were so sad to hear of Diane's passing. We got to spend time with Diane when we would go visit in Grande Cache, We will miss her and cherish the memories of time spent, having TetleyTea Bold and toast, grilled over the stove burner, just as she liked it.
