Diego Carpina, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Borongan, Samar, Philippines, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 50 years.

He was born on April 20, 1972. He was born and raised in Borongan, Eastern Samar, Philippines. Diego graduated with a Hair Science Certificate at EARN Vocational Development Program.

Diego was a very generous person and was always ready to help someone in need. His sense of humour was beyond compare. Diego was the life of every party.

He loved to play slot machines and was a very good dance performer. He was a “plantita” (a person who liked to take care of plants).

Diego will be sadly missed by his daughter Angela Carpina.

He was predeceased by his parents Rita Cardeno Carpina; father Feliciano Carpita; as well as sister Lani Carpina Capila.

A Viewing and Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 2:00 – 10:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A Livestream of the prayer service will be at 7:30pm and it will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Diego's obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 3:30pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).
