Obituary For Donald Line

It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Don on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the QEII hospital.

Don was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on October 20, 1949, and leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Louise of 45 years, his 2 sons, 2 daughters in-law, and 6 grandchildren: Monte (Danielle) William, Jessica, Brooke and Shea. Trent (Jenn) Samantha, and Bryce. He will also be missed greatly by his step-mom Katie, siblings Diane (Bill), Val (Bob), Vicki (Ken), Jackie, Bill, Betty, Gina (Dean), Emelia (Russel) and his siblings in-law: Tom (Linda), Charlie (Marilyn), Jim (Janice), and Jerri (Randy); as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.

Don will always be remembered for his willingness to lend a helping hand, love of horses, and his ability to always win at card games, but mostly his love of his grandkids and family were what made Don the special guy we knew.

Don is predeceased by his dad Howard, his mom Doris, and step-father Hank.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 11:00am at Wembley Recreation Centre (9831 97 St.).

My heart sank when I heard that Don had passed. He truly was a great friend that blessed us with many stories of his family and especially of his grand children. We will miss our special lunch dates with our dear friend and co worker. We were very lucky that we got to know such a great person. Until we meet again dear friend...

We are more than saddened to hear of Don's passing but rejoice in the faith he had and the assurance of his place in heaven. We will miss his gentle, quiet character and his sense of humour. I remember all the babies and young ones bouncing on his knee, including my boys. They were drawn to him and his gentleness, like we all were. Don was quick to lend a hand, always close by when you needed him. I will miss the teasing and the easy laughter that followed, his giant hugs and his humble spirit. So sorry we couldn't be there to celebrate his life. You are all in our prayers. May God give you comfort and peace. See you soon. Love, Rick and Brenda
