Obituary For Donna Marie George

Donna Marie George, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Souris, MB, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Grande Prairie Care Center at the age of 85 years.

Donna was born on April 22, 1936, in Souris, to George and Helen Taylor. She graduated from Souris Memorial School and began work at The Modern Groceteria. She and Bud married on September 5, 1955, which lasted 66 years. The family moved to Grande Prairie in 1968, where she and Bud raised 3 boys, many dogs, and shared much laughter and love.

Donna enjoyed loved animals and volunteering at the SPCA, walking dogs, and sharing her love with all the animals.

Donna will be sadly missed by her husband Eldon Charles “Bud” George; children: Craig (Donna) George, Blake (Angie) George, and Darcy George (Kerianne Dunlap); grandchildren: Jason, Garrett, Taylor, Ashley, Jaycee, Addison, and Ethan; great-grandchild Axel; as well as brother Don Taylor.

Donna was predeceased by her sister Daphne and brother Ormond.

Donna was a beautiful lady through and through. She was so caring and giving with a great sense of humour. She adored all of her grandchildren which she proudly spoke of. One of Donna's favourite flowers were pansies and she had many every summer. I will cherish Donna's hand written recipe for pumpkin chiffon pie every Thanksgiving. Condolences to the George family.
