Obituary For Doreen Anne Camplair Pfau

Doreen Anne Pfau, resident of Dimsdale, AB, formerly of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at the Grande Prairie Care Centre, at the age of 81 years.

Doreen was born on February 4, 1939, in Beaverlodge, AB. She met her sweetheart, Harold Pfau, and they were married on November 9, 1955. They had three children: Diane, Gordon, and Jerry. Doreen worked at Pat’s Auto, Montrose School, Avondale School, as well as on the farm. She and Harold settled in Dimsdale, where she took on most of the farming duties. There wasn’t a piece of machinery she couldn’t run.

Doreen was a hard-working and compassionate lady. A loving mother and grandmother, she loved her grandchildren and looked forward to every minute she could spend with them. She liked to dance, listen to her music, play hockey with the kids, motorbike, and curl.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Diane (Gene) Kimble; grandson Dallas (Shauna); and great-grandchildren Morgyn and Ashtyn; grandson Darren (Carisa); and great-grandchildren: Jordyn, Shayla, Jenna and Taylor; grandson Devin (Carol); and great-grandchildren Colby and Sawyer; son Gordon (Theresa) Pfau; grandson Craig (Heidi); and great-grandchild Sage; granddaughter Kimberly (Ed) MacLean; and great-grandchildren Quinn and Kelty; son Jerry (Kim) Pfau; and grandson Myles (Alissa); and great-grandchild Myah; grandson Jesse; and grandson Shane.

Doreen was predeceased by her sisters: Jean, Jeannette, and Ellen; brothers Herb and Harry; father Curt, and mother Mary; as well as her beloved husband Harold.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020, at 10:00am at the Faith Lutheran Church in Grande Prairie (9610 108 Ave). A Funeral Service will be held following the viewing at 11:00am.

We would like to give a special thank you to Evelyn and the Grande Prairie Care Centre. As well as Kerry Chmilar for mom’s hair, and Lynda Clements and Betty Jabs for the time they spent visiting Doreen.

    Please accept our family's sincere condolences on the loss of such a special person. I have many many fond memories of Auntie Doreen . She was such a special person devoted to her family and husband Harold. I was always in awe of the great marriage Doreen and Harold enjoyed.
