Doreen Verreault, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 25, 2020, at the age of 67 years.

Doreen grew up in Falher, AB. She was born March 19, 1953, the eldest daughter to the late Mireil and Pauline Therrien. Her siblings were: David Therrien, Joanne Gosselin, Raymond Therrien, and Linda Wald. Doreen graduated from Routhier School in Falher in 1970. She married Norman Verreault in 1971 and the couple moved to Grande Prairie, AB in 1973.

Doreen was a devoted mother to her two children, Michael and JoAnn. She was an amazing caregiver to her family and those she cherished. Doreen dedicated a lot of her time and energy towards planning family gatherings. She always went above and beyond to create the perfect celebration. From cooking to decorating, every detail was always topnotch. Doreen loved the holidays; she was truly the magic to our Christmas. She also enjoyed gardening and travel. In 2015, Doreen experienced her dream vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Doreen will be greatly missed by her son Michael Verreault and grandson Michael Regan; daughter JoAnn Verreault and grandchildren: Breanne Harrison, Taylor Harrison, and Wyatt Verreault; husband Norman Verreault; siblings; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Mireil and Pauline Therrien and her younger brother Raymond Therrien.

A family graveside service will be held at St. Anne Cemetery in Falher.
