Obituary For Dorothy Jean Reber
We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Dorothy Reber, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Eaglesham, AB, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 93 years.
Dorothy was born in Sturgeonville, AB, on June 14, 1929, to William and Martha Campbell; she was the youngest of eleven children (7 brothers and 3 sisters).
She married the love of her life Lester Reber, May13, 1948, and they farmed in Eaglesham for 29 years before moving to Grande Prairie in 1977.
Dorothy was a passionate gardener and loved her flowers. Past times were filled with visiting and playing cards with family and friends. Sunday drives with Lester brought them both joy.
Dorothy loved her family more than anything, whether it was cooking meals for everyone or taking their money playing cards, especially the grandkids. Her house was always filled with chaos and laughter, and she made everyone feel welcome.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters Carol and Janet (Ken); her beloved grandkids: Crystal (Jadon), Mark (Cindy), Darla (Linden), Scott (Kirby), and Derek (Tasha). She also leaves behind nine great-grandkids: Logan, Caleb, Kayden, George, Quinn, Avi, Isla, Ellis, and Paige.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Lester; son in-law Gordon; parents William and Martha Campbell; as well as her ten siblings.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held in the spring when the grass is green, and the flowers are blooming.
If desired, Memorial Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Dorothy's name.

Dorothy was a lovely and kind woman. I have fond memories of her and Lester playing endless crib games on Fridays with my parents, Morris and Edie Burroughs. She was a good friend to them. The foursome are together again.

My sincere condolences to Janet, Carol and families. I remember Mr and Mrs Reber well as they were our neighbors for many years as I was growing up. I remember going there with my Aunt and Uncle for card games in the winter . And when flowers were mentioned it brought a smile to me as I also remember my Auntie Ann Sanocki and Dorothy spending lots of time looking at each others flowers and sharing perennials and seeds back and forth. I believe this is where my love of growing flowers started. May your memories and love get you through this difficult time Sherry Schatz ( Geleta)
