Obituary For Dorothy Maxine Kring Stewart
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Dorothy Maxine Stewart (nee Kring) on Friday, March 30, 2018, in Grande Prairie, AB at the age of 102 years.
Dorothy was born on December 28, 1915 in Aneroid, SK, and was a longtime resident of Grande Prairie, where she resided until her passing.
She leaves to cherish the memories, her daughters: Jan Beilman, Cheryl Stewart, Brenda Robson, and Glenda (Gerald) Breitkreutz; son Delmar (Colleen); one very special sister Roberta (Kelly) Maile; 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Marvin, daughter Cleone, and sons in-law Dennis Klassen and Joe Beilman.
She was a truly amazing lady, having raised six children of their own as well as her and her husband having a loving foster home to 125 babies of the course of 25 years.
A celebration of her amazing life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, at 11:00am, at Salvation Army Community Church in Grande Prairie (9525 83 Ave.).
Thank you to the doctors and nurses in the ER as well as the nurses on 5 North at the QEII who took exceptional care of Mom and our family. A very special thank you to Dr. Ife Obuekwe for your visits and hugs with Mom. You were so special to her. Thank you also to the staff of Wild Rose Manor for making the years she lived there very happy. Robyn, thank you for your excellent care of Mom, you were so special to her, and also the Home Care ladies.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Community Church (9525 83 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 6V1) or to a charity of one’s choice.
