Obituary For Dwayne Fraser Winiandy

Dwayne “Buster” Fraser Winiandy, resident of Hythe, AB, formerly of Pouce Coupe, BC, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital at the age of 59 years.

Buster was born and raised in Pouce Coupe. When he turned 16, he moved to Horse Lake, AB, to live with his auntie Doreen who was like a mother to him. In 1991, he moved to Hythe where he started his own family. Hythe and Horse Lake is where he had loving family and made plenty of friends; as well as where he had many jobs and helped countless people. Buster loved his community, so he enjoyed helping people when they needed a hand. He simply loved the company of others.

Buster was caring, helpful, outgoing, skillful, funny, friendly, and most of all he was memorable.

Buster will be sadly missed by his children: his oldest Dale, Serena “Tiny”, his baby Alysha, and Lori Savard whom he raised as his own; grandchildren: Jared Wilson, Spencer Wilson, Rylie Wilson, and Price Wilson; aunt Doreen Horseman whom he called mom; siblings: Trent, Calvert, Kim, Yvette, Angela, Connie, Ramona, Denise, Kevin, and Chad; as well as numerous other family members.

Buster was predeceased by his mother Jean Winiandy whom he missed dearly; his father Gordon Calliou; his brother Dale Winiandy; sister Debbie Winiandy; son Rodney Evans; as well his grandparents.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 10:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.) The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm.
