Obituary For Edith Schmidt Klimach

Edith Klimach, resident of Hythe, AB, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Hythe, AB at the age of 87 years.

Edith was born July 3, 1929 in Weidenau, Germany to Alfred and Ella Schmidt. She had 1 brother, Werner. In 1952, she married Albert Klimach and they had 3 children: Bernd, Marvin, and Ronald.

She arrived in Canada March 27, 1952 and lived in Grande Prairie until August 13, 1988. Edith and Albert then moved to Vernon, BC. They returned to Alberta on August 23, 2014 and lived in Hythe, AB. On September 22, 2015 she moved into Hythe Continuing Care Centre where she spent her final days.

Edith is survived by her husband Albert; sons: Bernd (Linda), Marvin, and Ronald (Cynthia); grandchildren: Darcy (Naomi), Heidi (Aron), Andrew, Patrick (Danielle), Lisa (Rod), Daniel (Samantha), Dawson, Curtis (Naomi), Stephen (Jeannie), and Lynette; great-grandchildren: Kaiden, Carter, Jaida, Averi, Lanie, Austin, Ayden, Daxson, Sadie, Daymon, and Declan; as well as brother Werner.

Edith was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Ella.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Beaverlodge, AB (822 2 Ave.).

    Condolences to Albert, Ben, Marvin, Ron, and families. I was just talking about Edith and family with other neighbors from the old neighborhood a few days ago. So sorry for your loss.
