After the war was over, in 1946, Mom and her children came to Canada by ship. It was a strange country, and they didn’t know anyone. They travelled by train to Grande Prairie. They farmed there until 1993, when Dad sold and moved to Wanham to be close to the kids. They resided there until his passing in 2009. Mom moved to Grande Prairie Care Centre to live out the remainder of her years.

Mom will be sadly missed by her 5 children, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Jack, son Tommy, granddaughter Lori, mother Edith, father Bill, as well as 4 sisters.
