To the Pardell family, I am so sorry for your loss. Over the past few years I've gotten to know Ed through his stories and big personality. The half hour dressing changes went by quickly as he told me stories about his wife, children, flying, and many other adventures. He was a kind soul who was good to everyone. Whenever a new resident arrived, he found a commonality and quickly had them feeling welcome and part of the unit. He was forever grateful to the nursing staff for every and any little thing we did. I never heard more "thank you's" from any other patient in my 10 years of nursing. I hope you can find peace in knowing that he was thought of very highly by staff and residents alike, and a person never really dies when they make that kind of lasting impression. Light and love to you all. Dora Hunt LPN
