Elaine Stevenson of Spirit River passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Central Peace Health Complex, surrounded by family, at the age of 72 years.

Left to mourn her loss are husband Lloyd and Pup Missy; children: Thomas (Debra) Stevenson of Calgary, Carla (Rick) Dostaler of Peace River, Kim (Ed) Auston of Airdrie, Carrie Stevenson of Whitehorse and Robert Stevenson of Whitehorse; grandchildren: Jason Stevenson (Lisa Barrett), Shaeara (Stephen) Buchholz, Logan Stevenson, Deanna Dostaler, Clay Dostaler, Alyshia Auston and Sarah (Sean) Young; great-grandchildren: Aurora-Belle Buchholz and Alise Buchholz; sister Joyce Tyhon of Spirit River and family: Lorraine, Christopher Price, Carrie Tyhon and Kevin (Rachelle) Hoey and family; brother Leonard (Edith) Shofner and family: Laurie, Gabriel Shofner, Leanne (Kevin) Holdstock and family, Dallas (Martha) Shofner and family, Kristen (Jeff) Mitton and family; niece Tammy (Keith) Sommerville and family, and nephew Garnet Shofner and family.

She was predeceased by her mother and father Martha and Clayton Shofner; brother Raymond Shofner, and brother in-law Dennis Tyhon.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1:00pm, at Oliver's Funeral Home in Grande Prairie 10005 107 Ave).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 1:00pm at Legion Hall in Spirit River (4822 46 Ave).
