Ethel Miller, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Northmark, AB, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 100 years.

Ethel was born December 7, 1923, in Jansen Saskatchewan. Her parents moved to the Rycroft area and had a market garden. She had five brothers: Robert “Bob”, William “Bill”, Emil, George, and Gordon.

Ethel married William Miller on December 10, 1944, and was a homemaker. They had three children: Fred, Ella, and Anne.

Ethel was competitive, quiet, hardworking, a good cook, and the best pie maker. She liked gardening, knitting, crocheting, baking, crafts, reading, cards, berry picking, and playing games like checkers and Chinese checkers.

Ethel will be sadly missed by her children: Fred (Sherril), Ella, and Anne (Bill); grandchildren: Kerry (Shawn) Monteith, Nicky (Norm) Jacob, Kimberly (Doug) Ferriss, Darren (Brandi) Pashko, Crystal (Ryan) Mysko, Karen Campbell, and Sharon Miller; great-grandchildren: Mark (Samantha) Scorgie, Rylea Monteith, Cole (Britney) Jacob, Nolan Jacob, Melanie Ferriss, Makayla Ferriss, Brooklynn Pasko, Declan Pashko, Samantha Campbell, Evan Campbell, and Arthur Mysko; great-great-grandchildren: Ella Scorgie, Dane Scorgie, Stella Jacob, and Beau Jacob.

Ethel was predeceased by her parents, five brothers, husband, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Viewing will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 10:00am, at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Northmark, Woking, AB., with a Funeral to follow at 11:00am.
