Obituary For Florence Wilma Griko

Florence Griko, resident of Bear Lake, AB, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the Grande Prairie Care Centre, at the age of 81 years.

Florence was born on December 25, 1940, in Grande Prairie, AB, and grew up on a farm in the area of Dimsdale, AB. She worked for the Royal Bank for many years, retiring in 1996.

Florence will be sadly missed by her loving children: Michael (Helen) Griko, Brenda Burrin, Carol Griko, David Griko, Donna (Ken) McQuaig, Sandra Griko, Wayne (Leah) Griko, and Lorne (Stephanie) Griko; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Mike Griko.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 11:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Florence’s honor to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and NWT (102, 9823 116 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 4B4).
