It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their loving husband, father and grandfather, Floyd Kenneth Hagen, born November 6, 1932 and passed away Monday, January 22, 2018.

Left to remember his life is his loving wife Laura Hagen, children: Marilyn (Jim), Ken, Calvin (Deanna), and Karen (Gil); grandchildren: Travis, Courtney (Will), Tara (Jon), Jodi, Russell, Jaylene, Ryan, Conner, Justin, Brendin, and Breanne; great-grandchildren: Theo, Bridgette, and Jaxxtyn.

Floyd was born November 6, 1932 in Retlaw, AB. He moved to the Grimshaw area in the late 30’s. From there, they moved to Emerson trail, then resided in the Eureka River area.

Floyd met his loving wife and married September 28, 1962. They resided in Grande Prairie, where their first child was born, then relocated back to the Eureka River Area where the remaining four children were born.

In 1976, Floyd and his family moved to Grovedale, where he gave leadership to the Grovedale Baptist Church and worked various jobs with local companies. He and Laura then sold their farm and moved into Grande Prairie where he retired in 1997, but continued his full-time job of going to the Stanford for coffee twice a day. He also enjoyed being involved with all aspects of his grandchildren’s lives.

Due to medical needs, they then moved to Wild Rose Manor in 2009. Dad required more care, and moved into Grande Prairie Care Centre and this became home with the Staff becoming part of his family until his passing. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude for the care and support he received while in their care.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 7:00-9:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00pm, at the Grovedale Hall, in Grovedale, AB.
