Aleman "TheKid" aka Margie or Margaret
Frank was my step brother - my mom had married his father when I was a young child. Because I was younger - he always called me The Kid. I remember he still called me that when I saw him at my mom's funeral. He was so good to me and put up with questions and tag alongs when I could. My condolences to all and will definitely make the Graveside services on May 20 2017; God willing. Love The Kid (Margie) Aleman And Husband Peter.

I remember Frank from visiting the farm as child with my parents, Maurice and Alfretta Ouimet. I also worked briefly at the County of Grande Prairie while he was there. He was always friendly and helpful, genuinely a very nice man. Even as a kid I was always impressed with how organized and tidy his farm was. I tasted a real coconut the first time while on a visit to the farm. That would have been almost 60 years ago. It is strange what things stay with you. I haven't seen him for about 35 years but this news makes me sad. My sincere condolences to his family.

I worked with Frank at Grande Prairie Museum. I was always happy when Frank would come in and do the Pioneer Experience Program with me. I learned so much from him ; just how to build a log cabin or make rope, which I never really mastered, but by listening to his stories. I will never forget the day he taught me how to shingle a roof. It was on a shed and I was scared to move from the peak. Frank held out his arm and smartly marched me all over the roof to prove that it was safe. I still don't like heights, but I can now look at a roof and smile at the memories. Rest Well Frank. You were loved by many.
