Fred Nelson, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Sexsmith and Teepee Creek, passed away very peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2017, at the QEII Hospital, at the wonderful age of 93 years.

He was born to Teepee Creek homesteaders Thomas and Mary Nelson on November 29, 1923. His siblings Irene and Kenneth, along with numerous close friends and relatives helped him find trouble, laughter and love. Fred farmed the homestead for years until he decided to sell and move to Sexsmith. There he thrived and succeeded in winning many a game of crib while enjoying life. In 2011, Fred moved to Grande Prairie where he resided until his passing.

Fred is survived by many who continue to love him.
