Obituary For Frederick (Tony) Howarth
Tony Howarth, longtime resident of Valleyview, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in Grande Prairie, AB, one day before his 82nd birthday.
Tony was born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK, and moved to Swift Current where he met his beloved wife of 55 years. They moved to Valleyview in 1963 where they raised their three children.
Tony worked in the oilfield all of his life and loved being out in the field with his cows or playing with his dogs.
On most days, you could catch Tony at the coffee shop while his dog sat on his truck and waited till he came out.
Tony was predeceased by his wife Venita in 2013.
He will be sadly missed by his family: eldest daughter Debi Gervais, son Fred Howarth, and youngest daughter Joy (Pete) Hasselbacher. He has also left to mourn 4 grandchildren: Cari (Don) Hill, Natasha Gougeon, Peter Hasselbacher, and Chantelle (Jarratt) Hasselbacher; 7 great-grandchildren: Trystan, Kamryn, Ashlynn and Madyson Hill, and Tyniesha, Paisyn and Aurora Donovan; as well as one surviving brother Albert Howarth of Calgary, AB.
A private family gathering took place on March 18, 2017.
