George Sandul, resident of Spirit River, AB, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Prairie Lake Hospice in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 93 years.

George was born January 16, 1927, in Samburg, SK, to Mary and Onufrey Sandul.

He will be greatly missed by his daughters: Doreen (Wayne) Fofonoff, Janice (Ben) White, Debbie (Chesty) Wolfaardt, Mavis Gray, Terry (Ken) Noonan, and Shelly (Peter) Woolf; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; as well as his extended family and many friends.

George was predeceased by his wife Helen Sandul; parents Onufrey and Mary Sandul; siblings: Sophie Kozenko, Sally Lylick, Jack Sandul, Pete Sandul, Mike Sandul, and Ann Zeyha.

A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, from 2:00-4:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). A Graveside Service for immediate family only will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at 2:00pm at the Devale Cemetery, with Reverend Linda Roberts officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George’s memory to the Happy Hour Club of Spirit River (P.O. Box 813, Spirit River, AB, T0H 3G0), or to a charity of one’s choice.
