I was saddened to hear of Gerald's passing. I worked with him years ago and he always remained my friend. He had struggles in his life but he was kind and loving and will be missed. RIP ..

I remember Gerald as a baby. The first baby I babysat. His dark curly eyelashes made him a beautifully photographic baby. But there weren't phones with cameras then, so instead of photos, I held him with one arm as we watched Grease on the VHS until Aunt Gail returned from errands. I've had four babies myself since, and on the hardest parenting days, I've returned to those moments of infant innocence in my mind. Perfect, untouched, wide-eyed. I return to my clear, unadulterated feelings of mother-affection and nurturing toward that little one. Because there ain't no love like the love of a mama and a papa. I grieve alongside you all for that innocent, untouched, curly-eyed little one. xx Teresa
