Gladys Wade, resident of Spirit River, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at home, at the age of 71 years.

Gladys was born on September 20, 1946 in Spirit River, and raised there on the farm. After finishing high school, she went on to University in Edmonton.

She loved antiquing, horses, Elvis, gardening, and was an avid bingo player. She was also a great cook.

Gladys will be sadly missed by her family, children: Shane (Donna) and Sharlene; grandchildren: Anna Wade, Sarah Heinricks (Mitchell), and Jesse Wade; brothers: Arthur (Rita) Wade, Ford Wade, and Roy (Barb) Wade; and sisters: Edna Wade and Ruth Wade.

She was predeceased by her son Sheldon Wade, sisters Lillian (Jim) Campbell, and Ellen (Harvey) Albert.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00pm, at Spirit of Peace United Church in Spirit River (4904 45 Ave.).

Memorial Donations may be made to Suicide Prevention Resource Center (200, Nordic Court, 10014 99 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 3N4) in memory of her son Sheldon.
