Obituary For Gladys Wilson

Gladys Wilson, resident of Grande Cache, formerly of Easington, County Durham, UK, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Grande Cache, AB, at the age of 90 years.

Gladys was born September 2, 1926 in West Rainton, County Durham. She immigrated to Grande Cache, Alberta, Canada with her husband and 3 of her children. She started working at the Grande Cache Hospital in 1971 and worked there until she retired in 1991. Gladys loved to golf.

She will be sadly missed by her children: James McRoy (and wife Rose), Dawn Wilson (and partner Greg MacLean), Kevin Wilson, and Nigel Wilson; grandchildren April MacLean, Adam Wilson, Justin McRoy, Ashley MacLean, Jennifer Wilson, Mathew MacLean, and Ian Wilson; great-grandchildren: Hayden MacLean, Cole MacLean, Keidis McRoy, Martti MacLean, Zephyrus McRoy, Mya Harris, and Colvin Wilson.

She was predeceased by her loving husband George in 1981, her firstborn grandson Jason McRoy in 1995 and first husband James McRoy in 1951.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 4, 2017, at 2:00pm, at the Grande Cache Legion Hall (2400 Pine Plaza).

Memorial donations may be made to the Grande Cache Hospital Foundation (Box 1202, Grande Cache, AB, T0E 0Y0).
