Dearest Quentin... While we all knew that this day was coming there is no way to emotionally prepare for it. I, like so many others, wish there was a way to take away your pain while knowing Gorett is finally pain free. I think of you all often since the day at Red Apple and since leaving there the three of you have remained forever in my heart. If you ever need someone to care for Gracie while you work do not hesitate to call or text. Know my heart is with you both and my prayers are full...for Gorett that will be the most beautiful Angel in Heaven watching over the two people I know she loved so very much & for both you & Gracie, for comfort and understanding.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Gorett was a very special lady. She had grit that very few people have. My heart breaks for all of you. My heart aches for Gracie who won't have her wonderful mom to guide her through life. Quintain I can not imagine the sorrow you are feeling without your beautiful wife. Isaura the loss of a child is so unthinkable. Paul and Maxine keep the wonderful memories in you heart of your beautiful sister. Gorett was loved by many and will be missed so very much. Rest in Peace my sweet girl. Love u

Isaura as you know my mom, Edith, always loved the book The Prophet - so I thought this passage was appropriate. Then Almitra spoke, saying, â??We would ask now of Death.â?? And he said: You would know the secret of death. But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life? The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light. If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life. For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one. In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond; And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring. Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity. Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour. Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king? Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling? For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered? Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance. Khalil Gibran My heart goes out to everyone whose life Gorett has touched, I wish that I could join in her life celebration tomorrow. My thoughts will be with you.
