Obituary For Gregory Gordon Kakoske
Gregory Gordon Kakoske lost his courageous battle with cancer on Monday, July 30, 2018, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 60 years.
Greg was born in Wetaskiwin, AB on November 18, 1957. In 1964, he, along with his family, moved to Grande Prairie where he pursued his education. He worked for Canfor for many years.
In 1986 he moved to Edmonton where he worked as a Journeyman Millwright at West Edmonton Mall Fantasyland for 10 years. He later worked for Edmonton International Airport. Greg moved back to Grande Prairie and worked in Fort McMurray and various other places in Northern Alberta.
Greg enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, cooking, and being with his friends.
He is survived by his three children Tamas, Dylan, and Desire’e; mother Myrtle Reid; brothers Warren (Shelly) Kakoske, Mark (Jo-ann) Reid, Dale (Elaine) Reid; sister Shauna (Dennis) Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.
Greg was predeceased by his father Gordon Kakoske, and step-father Bob Reid.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 2:00-5:00pm, at Army Navy Airforce Veterans in Grande Prairie (10117 93 St.).
