My heartfelt condolences to Gurth's family and friends. We hung around together at times in high school spending many hours having coffee at the Esso Station Cafe on the north end of GP. I was very happy to see him at our class reunion this summer. Rest in Peace Gurth.

My Sincerest sympathies to the family..

Girth was my best bud in grade school at Hllside Elementry. We practically lived in each others back pocket growing up. He was a true friend he always had my back and always came to my defence when needed. Although I hadn't been back to Grande Prairie for over 20 years. Me and Girth had kept in touch by phone and had many good laughs about our earlier years together and how much I enjoyed my noon lunches at his mom and dad's house which was kiddy corner to Hillside. I spent allot of time with Gurth his brother Jim and mom and dad who treated me like gold such special memories of all of us together I feel blessed to have known Gurth a true Mench as they would say in the Jewish faith. So finding out about his passing has been a shock to say the least the last time I saw Gurth was at our 50th High School Reunion this past summer. We had a brief visit but it really was not enough time to rekindle even more of those wonderful memories as kids. Gurth I love you my friend for you just being you. I feel blessed to have known you all these years and one thing for sure we will meet each other again. I spent some fun times with Gurth in grade 12. I curled with him in a few high school bonspiels and we played tennis together. Gurth was a nice guy, and I am glad to have seen him for a short while at our class reunion. RIP Ace.

It is with great sorrow I share my condolences with the Family of Gurth. We went to GPCHS together all those years ago. Shared some classes in those 3 years with fun times plus in the halls and gymnasium gatherings. Fortunate to have seen Gurth weeks before and on the day of our 1973 GPCHS 50th Class Reunion for a bit on August 12th, 2023.
