I would like to pass along condolences on the loss of Hans on behalf of the Sherman (Schurmann) family. I remember Hans from the few times that we met. I only met your family a few times, the most recent would have been at Uncle Billâ??s funeral in the mid 1990â??s or possibly my grandfatherâ??s funeral in Edmonton in 1997. I remember visiting the homestead at the time of Billâ??s funeral and meeting many of you at the time. My father, Bill Sherman who is 76 still lives on Vancouver Island and is fully retired. My mom passed away from cancer in 2008. David, my brother is an engineer and lives in Calgary. I am also an engineer (I worked for Trican for 13 years and left this summer to start a new company, we are up to 10 people now and gaining momentum) and I run a small mixed farming operation east of Okotoks with my wife. We have Hereford cattle. I have 2 children, Clayton who is 8 and Grace-Lynn who is 5. Oddly, Clay and I visited the dinosaur museum in Wembley 2 weeks ago but having lost touch with the Sieker family wasnâ??t sure how to reach out for a visit or catch up. Iâ??d like very much to reconnect with your families at some point, my address and phone number is attached. Once again, we are very sorry for you loss. Best Regards, Scott Sherman.
