Obituary For Harvey Potrebenko

Harvey Potrebenko, resident of Spirit River, AB passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, at the age of 57 years, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, with his family by his side.

Harvey was born in Grande Prairie, AB on July 12, 1960 to Annie and John Potrebenko and was the middle child of three boys.

He had a passion for farming and the oilfield. He loved building winter roads, and held much pride in his water trucks, snow cats and sprayers.

Harvey will be greatly missed by his children: Tennio (Brent) and Tyson (Alona); grandchildren: Nola (2 ½) and Wells (1); brothers: Doug (Chris) and Garry; niece Diahann (Shawn), nephew Jonathan, great-niece Sami (16) and great-nephew Alex (4) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Harvey was predeceased by his mother Annie and father John.

The Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 1:00pm, at the Rycroft AG Centre in Rycroft, AB.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Harvey may be made to Heart and Stroke of Canada (200, 1212 West Brodway, Vancouver, BC, V6H 3V2) or to the Canadian Cancer Society (200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB T2E 2P5).

Our deepest sympathy to you Garry and Doug and family. Not sure you remember me but I am Anne and Bill Guydash's daughter. Your mom and dad were close friends with my parents. I remember Harvey and Garry would come over to our farm as young boys. Harvey was a quiet gentle soul so very sorry to hear of his passing. Garry and Doug I hope life has been kind to both of you.
