Obituary For Hilda Agatha Auger

Hilda Agatha Auger, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of John D’Or Prairie, AB and Fort Vermilion, AB, fell asleep peacefully in death with her loved ones by her side, on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 75 years.

Hilda was born in Fort Vermilion and spent most of her days at Adams Landing with her family and children. Hilda and her partner Ronald spent many days at the trapline and the girls enjoyed their time with them there as well. Hilda was Mom or Gramma to all who knew her.

She was caring, sarcastic, always made sure we had something to eat, and our favourite cook (best shake and bake porkchops, bannock, and potato soup). Gramma loved her bead work, and watching family movies. She loved bluegrass and traditional Teadance music.

Hilda will be sadly missed by all her children; grandchildren: Diseray, Dustin, Danielle, Elora, Jessica, Avery, Eran, Brandon, and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Jericho, Jabyn, Evonie, Avery, DJ, Ava, Kaiton, Grayson, and Braxton; and her longtime best friend and roommate Barb Wiffen.

She was predeceased by her parents Marie and Epo Auger, brother George and Billy, sisters Theresa, Madeline, and Alice, partner Ronald Charles, and three sons.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Community and Cultural Complex in Fort Vermilion (5001 44 Ave.).

Cremation will take place at Chapel of Memories in Peace River, AB.
