Iona Marie Covi, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Wembley, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Points West Living, at the age of 69 years.

Iona was born August 25, 1948 in Calgary, AB. She worked at the QEII for more than 25 years as a Dietary Aide. She enjoyed gardening and her cats.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Christine (Uriah) Nickerson, Dave (Dawn) Covi, Russel Covi, and Mike (Trina) Covi; grandchildren: Spencer William David Covi, Kahlan Nicole Nickerson, and Daniel Caleb Nickerson; brother Peter Berkosha; niece Maureen Berkosha, nephew Narayana Berkosha, and niece Jasmine Berkosha.

Iona was predeceased by her husband Hilmar (January 3, 2018, daughter Roseanne Covi, and parents Wanda and Peter Berkosha.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 11:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). A Viewing will be held prior at 10:00am
