Irene Evelyn McCallister, long time resident of Hythe, Alberta passed away on January 8, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 96 years.

She will be greatly missed and survived by her sister Martha Olive “Ollie” Clarke of Grande Prairie, Alberta, sons Jim McCallister (Gloria) and Leon McCallister (Cheryn) as well as seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene is predeceased by her parents James Francis and Myrtle Reaume (Felch), husband William Albert “Jack” McCallister in 2003, brothers George, Ramon, John, Leon and David and sisters Leda, Juanita, Elaine and Dorothy.

Friends and Family are invited to a Celebration of Irene’s life to be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Hythe Legion Hall.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
