Obituary For Isaac Byers McMillan

Isaac McMillan, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Dumfries, Scotland, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 98 years.

Isaac was born on July 22, 1922, to Jessie and John McMillan.

After a long and fulfilling life, Isaac will be sadly missed by his wife of 76 years, Agnes; his three children; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members.

As per his wishes, no funeral service will take place.

The family would like to thank the QEII Hospital staff for their care and compassion in making Isaac’s transition peaceful.

He had a long and productive life, experienced Malaria in India (Army) and was trapped in a mine in Scotland. Major chest surgery in Calgary when they thought he was having cardiac problems but there was a tumor wrapped around his lung. He was an automotive mechanic and had a ticket to work on Rolls Royce and ended up working in a bakery, then did maintenance mechanics at a school in Grande Prairie, He was very funny, quite a tease, feisty and I loved him dearly. Ken and our daughters send their deep condolences with me.
