Isabell May Lenes, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of DeBolt, AB, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019, at Prairie Lake Hospice, at the age of 88 years.

Isabell was born June 5, 1931 in Edam, SK, to Dick and Margaret Lindsey. She moved to the Goodwin area at the age of 5 years old by wagon train. She met Delmer at school and they were wed in 1952. 7 children, followed by 18 grandkids and 14 great-grandkids, will all greatly miss her. She was a force to be reckoned with. She loved all her grandkids and great-grandkids very much.

She enjoyed curling, sewing, and quilting. She made many dresses and clothes for her kids then moved on to blankets for her grandkids and great-grandkids. She sewed right up to 86 years old.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Delmer Lenes of 66 years; children: Richard (Patti), Beverly, Donna (Ron) Hanson, Robert (Brenda), Kevin, Tracy, and Trudy (Gordon) Berg; grandchildren: Jeff (Shevaun), Russel (Brandy), Robin (Dusty), Tanya (Jon), Ian (Blythe), Tyler (Kena), Kyle (Kendal), Shawna (Jeronimo), Crystal, Charnel (Wes), Devin (Jennifer), Max, Ryan, Jake, Lauren, Shannon (Jesse), Carson and Sam; great-grandchildren: Logan, Olivia, Grady, Rayanne, Rylynn, Nolan, Avarie, Liam, Katherine, Sadie, Lachlan, Hadley and Everleigh; and sister Wanda Borley.

She was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Dick; 3 brothers: Hughie, Jimmy and William “Billy” Lindsey; sisters in-law: Arlene Ford, and Una Lindsey; as well as great-granddaughter Bryanna.

A Memorial Service will be will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at 10:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.), with interment to follow at Goodwin Cemetery, DeBolt, AB.
