Obituary For Jason Richard Anderson

Jason Richard Anderson, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Lloydminster, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 44 years.

Jason was born August 21, 1974 in Fort McMurray, AB. He graduated in Lloydminster. He worked for Cenovus as a planning specialist.

Jason was the most loving, kind-hearted, goofy man anyone has ever known. He enjoyed hockey, slo-pitch, poker, fishing, camping, and hanging out with his best pal Copper.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Connie Anderson; children Jordan and Erin Anderson; mother Jacqueline “Jackie” (Willy) Anderson; father Bernard “Bernie” (Connie) Anderson; sister Tina (Chris) Kenyon and her children Dakota, Ryder and Lowen; brother Robert Anderson (Savannah Allen) and his children Zayda, Zane, and Zarek; sister Savanna Anderson (Ashton Price) and her children Emerson and Chance; sister Gayle (Dany) Dick and her children Jamie and Ashley; sister Tracy (William) Gormley and her children Dalton, and Colby; nephew Kevin Anderson; sister Linda (Lee) Tees and her children Brett and Kaden; brother Austin Anderson; brother Todd Anderson; and grandmother Gerda Anderson.

He was predeceased by his brothers Kevin Anderson and Bernie Anderson; niece Danyka Tees; and grandparents Alexander and Ruby Hunnie and James Anderson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 11:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).

Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society (200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5) or to Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association (8618 91 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8X 1V6).

    I didn't know Jason that well, but we did know each other from around the ball diamond and had several mutual friends and work acquaintances. I also enjoyed talking to Jason and everyone always had nice things to say about him when his name came up. I was sad to hear of his passing at such a young age. Strength to you and your family.
