Obituary For Jeanne Agnes Monnette Rigler

Jeanne Agnes Rigler, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Eaglesham, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Points West Hospice in Grande Prairie, at the age of 66 years.

Jeanne was born in McLennan on December 27, 1951. She enjoyed spending time with family, dancing, reading, crocheting, colouring, going for walks, socializing, listening to music and helping others. She was an affectionate, loving, amusing, and faithful mother, Nana, friend and sister. Her infectious smile was known by many and her endless faith in the Lord, our God, permeated in all she did.

She enjoyed raising her children, the life of living on a family farm, and worked many years cooking for seniors at the Pioneer Lodge where she made significant and meaningful lifelong friendships.

She will be sadly missed by her family, children: Robbie (Victoria) Rigler, Connie Musselman (Jason Nykolaychuk), and Maria (Douglas) Nilsson; 8 grandchildren: Korbin and Halli Rigler, Ryanne, Ember and Payten Musselman, (Sarah Nykolaychuk), Brandon and Taylor Nilsson; her best friend Helga Ratz; as well as her sisters and brothers.

Jeanne was predeceased by her mother Pauline Monnette; brothers: Gerard Monnette, Maurice Monnette, and Richard Monnette; sister Florence Monnette; and her good friend “Pappa” Robert McCallum.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11:00am, at the Grande Prairie Alliance Church (15502 102 St.).

Following the celebration friends are invited to join the family at the Grande Prairie Alliance Church for a luncheon.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute (11560 University Ave., Edmonton, AB, T6G 1Z2) or Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society (Box 21215, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 6W7).
