Obituary For Jennie Pawlyk Eng

Jennie Eng, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at the QEII Hospital, with her granddaughter and two grandsons by her side, at the age of 90 years.

Jennie was born on February 8, 1930, in Kupche, Poland. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1930. They lived in Smoky Lake, AB, for 5 years, and then moved to Worsley, AB, where they homesteaded until they moved to Grande Prairie.

She lived in Sexsmith, AB, where she worked at Lennards Store. She moved to Grande Prairie and worked at the Halfway Motel, and she met the loved of her life Norman Eng. They were married in September 1965.

Jennie loved her garden (declared war on dandelions), loved to go on long walks in Muskoseepi Park. She was a wonderful cook, and her home was always open to anyone who came to visit.

She will be sadly missed by her sister Helen (Mike) Duda; daughter Karren (Albert) Schulze; grandchildren: Trena Lishaeghe-Antoine, Corinne St. James (David), Shane Schulze, Dallas Eng, and Mike Schulze; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as many much loved nieces and nephews.

Jennie was predeceased by her devoted husband Norman Eng; parents Mary and Nick Pawlyk; son Wayne Eng; nephew Gordon Duda; and brother in-law Mike Duda.

A private Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Oliver’s Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Always enjoyed visiting with Wayne at his parents home. Jennie and Norm always had an open door and seemed so interested in what everyone was doing. Loved her enthusiasm and supportive ways. Treasure all your memories of her. Thinking of you all. Marilyn Foster.

Lovely service Karren. I send good thoughts to you and your family

Attending the service, even 'virtually', was good. We likely would not have been able to come in person, even if it was a possibility. Jennie will be missed here, even though we didn't get a chance to see her (or you) in person for many years now.
