Obituary For Jerry Swanson

On Saturday, January 30, 2015, Jerry Swanson, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away at the QEII Hospital at the age of 72 years.

He was born in Barrhead, AB on January 17, 1944.

Jerry loved his family, hunting, fishing, playing cards, his dogs, and working and living in the “bush”.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, children: Troy, Bonnie, Clint, Curtis, and Candace; step-children Ryan and Micheal; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, and one brother.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016, at 1:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave).

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service.

Memorial donations may be made to The Lung Association. Alberta and NWT Division (PO Box 4500 STN South, Edmonton, AB, T6E 6K2).

Granfield Allan Granfield and Ron Neumann

Our sincere condolences to all of Jerrys family members, he may be gone but he will not be forgotten we had tons of laughs and great times with Jerry in our younger years. The Three of us Ron, Jerry and myself worked at various jobs and travelled together.
