Obituary For Jesse Jan Kluyt

Jesse Jan Kluyt passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 38 years.

Jesse was born November 6, 1980 in Grande Prairie. He grew up in Grande Prairie and graduated from Grande Prairie Composite High School. He was an electrician for around 18 years, working in the oilfield. Recently, he was working and living in Edmonton.

He enjoyed spending time at the family “ranch” and working on whatever “project” was going on with his dad and brothers. He was an avid Edmonton Oilers fan, and liked to ski.

Jesse was a charmer, and had a big smile. I can hear him in my head saying “Love you Ma, love ya Bro”.

He will be deeply, sadly and forever missed by his parents Bill and Karen Kluyt; siblings: Ryan (Jordana), Cole (nieces Peyton and Kira), Mark (nephew Brady), and Katie Kluyt (Kyle Bucknell); as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Bill and Georgie Campbell, and Jim and Wilma Kluyt; and his aunt Janice Cramer.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00pm, at Christian Fellowship Assembly in Grande Prairie (11449 92 St.).

A private family viewing will be held for immediate and extended family members.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Dear Mr and Mrs Kluyt and family, Iâ??m terribly sorry for your loss. I only worked with Jesse for a short time (about a year) but he certainly made a lasting impression. I often ate dinner with him at camp and would drop by his headache shack for a chat whenever I got the chance. You raised a great man. I really appreciated his positivity and great sense of humour- a beautiful thing at 40 below. Heâ??s was admired and respected by all up there. Weâ??ll miss him. My deepest sympathies. Luke Chisholm.
