Joan Celine Grant nee Bruce, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Kuwait, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at home, at the age of 86 years.

Joan was born in Sonepur, India. She resided in Kuwait for many years and lived in Canada for 27 years. She was an Executive Secretary for The National Bank of Kuwait for 25 years and was very actively involved in St Joseph Catholic Church.

She was very jolly, happy, outgoing and friendly. She always found the best in people. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joan will be sadly missed by her children: Alfred, Douglas, and Addie (Rolly); grandchildren: Shelina (Jake), Francis (Melody), Shannon (Brian), Kyle (Amanda), Kevin (Micha), Julian (Jenny), Cecilia, Thomas, Patrick, Belinda, and Joseph; great-grandchildren: Maya, Abigail, Cameron, Charlotte, Sophia, Julia, Fenya, Parker, Hayden, and Evan; as well as many more in Papa New Guinea; brother Edric Bruce (Milly) and sister Jean (Willy) Rozario.

She was predeceased by her husband Patrick Alfred Grant in 1963 and her son Gordon Grant (Pauline).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 1:00pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).
