Obituary For Joan Ellen Airth

On Sunday, August 1, 2021, Joan Airth of DeBolt, AB, passed away at the age of 85 years, with her family at her side.

An extraordinary wife, mother, and grandmother, Joan was known for her independence, strength, humour, and incredible generosity.

Joan will be remembered by her husband Les of 62 years; 2 sons: Tom (Debbie), and Kelvin (Margaret); 1 daughter Darlene (Len); daughter in-law Lori (Donnie); grandson Andrew (Jess) and their children: Haylee and Jensen; grandson Tyler (Steph) and their children: Jackson and Henry; grandson Riley (Megan) and their children: Elyna and Miles; granddaughter Kelsey (Blair) and their children: Boden and Mia; granddaughter Lisa; granddaughter Mandy (Don) and their children: Blake and Ali; granddaughter Melinda (Dustin) and their children: Xander, Jacob, Paxton, and Zoe; granddaughter MollyJo (Ben) and their children: Adalynd and Bronwyn; as well as 2 nephews and a niece; Ken Erker, Lorne Fortier, and Erin Fortier.

Joan was predeceased by her parents Norman and Dora Blimkie, 2 brothers Gus and Neil Blimkie, and 2 sisters Marjorie Fortier and Gail Erker.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 2:00pm, at Gospel Light Church in DeBolt (1105 Township Rd 721A).
