Obituary For JoAnn Lynn Mathewson Sinclair

JoAnn Sinclair, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Bassano, AB, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 52 years.

JoAnn was born on May 11, 1968, in Bassano, AB, and was raised there as well.

JoAnn was known to many as their “second mom”. She was a selfless, caring, advice-giver, had a knack for being right, and was a voice of truth and reason.

She was known as a stay-at-home mom and grandma. JoAnn enjoyed many activities, from spending time with her grandkids to camping at Riverstone, renovating her home and campsite, gardening, and painting.

JoAnn will be sadly missed by her husband Dave; children: Doug, Nicole, Scott and Christy; her grandchildren: Paige, Molly, and Danni; brother Ken Mathewson; sister Tammy Mathewson; all of her nieces and nephews, as well as many, many friends and family members.

She was predeceased by her mother and father Ken and Pat Mathewson; as well as her aunt Joyce Latimer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020, at 2:00pm at the Riverstone Golf Course and Campground in Teepee Creek, AB.

    Sincerest condolences on the passing of your sister, JoAnn. I remember many many visits to your house as a kid and looking up to both Tammy and JoAnn!
