My heart goes out to both of you on the loss of your children. Words cannot express what I feel for you both and for the rest of your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

We're with you. You've been so much on our minds since we first got the news. We've been thinking of a way to memorialize Jody and Mike in a way that would reflect how happy they were when they were hiking. We've made donations to Alberta Trailnet in their honour. That's the group that's completing the Alberta portion of the Cross-Canada Trail, and we've asked that our donations be put toward completing the Peace River section of that trail. Whenever I'm out on the Edmonton section of that trail in the river valley here I'll be thinking of them. I'm remembering Jody for the long talks we used to have--sometimes heavy and sometimes full of laughter--and I'm remembering Mike for his unqualified friendship and for the way he shared what was on his mind through his music.

We wanted to send our heart felt condolences. When I met Jodi her smile was infectious and you instantly smiled back. We only had the privilege to have met Jodi a couple of times with Mike right beside her. Carol always said Jodi was a caring and loving person. And all her family were the same. You ought to be very proud to have raised your children to make a difference in others lives like Jodi and Mike did. That love will now be the glue to help heal the pain your feeling but will comfort you during this time We will continue praying for you and your loved ones. Eric and Pat Ponsford

I'm so sorry for your tragic and unexpected loss. I am devastated that such a joyful and energetic person that did so much for the community was taken away too soon from this world. I will never forget the wonderful hikes and trips in the mountains that I had with Jody. I also enjoyed and looked forward to the community yoga classes that she organized in Beaverlodge. She had such a beautiful glowing smile along with her positive and magical energy.May her love and energy live on! Peace and Love in this time of sorrow.

Dear Crosby, Megan and Caleb, We were so sad to hear of the accident. Your Mom always had such a lovely smile and was very positive about everything. She made a very great contribution to the well being of others both through her work and her philosophy in life. She truly walked the walk. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Jackie Lee (Victoria, BC)

I am so so sorry for your loss. Jody and Michael were such wonderful people with big hearts. Most of my teenage memories were hanging out as one of the kids at your GP house and at the cabin. Ron, Janet, Jacki and Dacota my heart goes out to you.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Evans family especially her parents, her spouse and her children. Jody was such a beautiful person, very caring and very loving. I always look at her as a model and also as a confident. She was always happy to see our team. She has touched so many people. She will be greatly missed. RIP my dear Jody.

Jody was the "glue" that connected our Beaverlodge hiking/bookclub/wine drinking buddies... She was the ray of sunlight that made each of us feel that we were enough in who we were... Jody was also the encourager to to help us become more. God only knows how such kindness, love and compassion could be rolled up into one person! I will take many bits of Jody's teaching and examples with me. "Ain't no mountains high enough..." Every hike we take, every camp meal we make, every bear we meet , every peak we see, she'll be watching us" Love you to the moon and back Jody Evans!!

Hey kids, I am so sorry for your tragic losses, your mom and your uncle. Your mom was a beautiful and caring lady. I loved working with her and saw first hand many times, how much she cared for others. She will not be forgotten as her smile and kindness live on in each of you. Please pass on my condolences to your grandparents, aunties and your mom's partner. I wish I could turn back time and make this bad dream into only that. Please know that you are thought about often. Much love and many hugs.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Although I have not seen Jody in many years I thought of her often and missed her. My heart breaks and I will miss her more knowing she has left us. When I reminisce about growing up Jody is the first person I think of; she was such a large part of my life back then and I am so grateful to have spent my growing up years with her. She was an amazing individual so full of life, laughter and love. Sending prayer and love to you at this difficult time and hope that you find some sense of peace in knowing others are thinking of you and your family at this time. Heaven is lucky to have received two beautiful angels. Rest in peace Jody and Michael.

It is so hard to believe that Jody has left this world being such a young and vibrant person. Can't imagine what you are all feeling - but sending prayers that God be with you all and comfort you. Your Mom was such a nice lady I know that she has a special place in heaven. She will always be so proud of each of you. May the blessings of the Lord be with each of you as you carry on and continue to make her proud. Love and prayers from Ione O'Connell & family.
