John Francis Frampton, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB, suddenly passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 62 years.

John was born December 16, 1954 in Winnipeg, MB. He was a flooring installer his whole life. John loved taking his family camping and fishing. He loved the outdoors, reading, writing, playing scrabble, cards, and crib, and playing sports with his kids. He made sure they never went without. John liked making people laugh, was the life of the party, and liked to have fun. He was kind-hearted, always helped other people, always had something funny to say, liked to joke around, and was a hardworking man.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 42 years Sharon Frampton; children Chris Frampton, Amanda (Colby) Whipple, and Josh (Tammy) Frampton; 5 grandsons and 1 grandchild on the way; mother Helen Frampton; sisters Jean (Charles) Cox, Donna (Walter) Anderson, Maureen (John) Woroschuk, Margaret (Keith) Blake, Diane (Lorren) Pettit, Shelley (Bob) Allen, and Tamara (Paul) Vieira; brothers Robert (Shirley) Frampton, Gregory Frampton, and Timothy Frampton (Line Fenez); as well numerous other family on both sides and many, many friends.

He was predeceased by his father John Sydney Melrose Frampton in 1990, sister Valerie McCann in 1988, and sister Joan Lemky in 2006.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Memorial donations may be made to Sharon Frampton to assist in alleviating expenses at this time.
