John (Jack) Fitzpatrick passed away at the Grande Prairie Care Centre on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the age of 81 years.

Jack was born in Grande Prairie on October 18, 1934. He married Helen (Wald) November 8, 1958. Jack loved working on the family farm in East Kleskun. The family moved off the farm in 1968 and Jack started his career with the Alberta Wheat Pool. He worked for the Pool as an elevator manager and superintendent for 25 years. After living in various towns and cities, Jack and Helen retired in Grande Prairie.

Jack is survived by his wife Helen, children: Bruce (Melissa), Kevin and Catherine; and grandchildren: Quinn and Kate. His brother Bill and sister Gertrude also survive him.

Jack was predeceased by his brother and sister: Vern and Marguerite (Laverick).

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 11:00am, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (10404 102 St.).
