Obituary For John â??Jackâ?? Terence Donnelly
John “Jack” Donnelly, resident of Sexsmith, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 15th, 2019 at his home in Sexsmith, at the age of 67 years.
Jack was born in Sexsmith on October 11, 1951. Raised in the Teepee Creek area, Jack spent many hours cattle ranching and farming. His true passion however was cooking. Jack owned many restaurants in Sexsmith including JD’s Place, JD’s Bakery and Diamond Willow Restaurant. Jack was a beautiful person with a big heart.
Left with heavy hearts are his wife Frenie; daughter Alea; Edsel Dela Cruz (whom was like a son to Jack); sisters Rose Donnelly and Linda MacNeil; brother Ken Donnelly; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also mourning their loss of “Boss Jack” are his hard-working staff of Diamond Willow Restaurant.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Rose and Terry Donnelly.
Memorial donations may be made to the family to be put in trust for his daughter Alea.

Papa, Uncle Jack, Dad, or simply JD no matter what I were to call him on any given day that fact that he was the most important man in my life will never be a question. He taught me everything I needed in life to succeed, in business and more importantly in love and family. He always helped anyway he could when needed. Whether it were moving down to Saskatchewan with us, to help out on the ranch after the birth of our second daughter, or giving me a swift kick in the butt when I was being stubborn, he always seemed to have the answer. There will never be a day I donâ??t think about him and will miss him dearly until we meet again. You were my dad for 35 years and now you can be my angel for eternity. I love you so much. Sleep well.
