Obituary For John Latos

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father and grandfather John Latos who passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, February 25, 2017.

John will be deeply missed by his wife of 43 years Wieslawa; daughters: Nina (Chris), Katrina (Ryan), and Marta (Mark); along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. His greatest joy were his grandchildren: Mya, Weston, Kolton and Bayet whom will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by his older sister Dorota Jastrzebska who lives in Kwaszyn, Poland.

John was born in Kwaszyn, Poland January 8, 1939. He traveled to Canada in 1966 at the age of 27. He fell in love with this country so he decided to stay and became a Canadian citizen in 1973. He had a passion for the outdoors, especially fishing, gardening and sitting by a camp fire.

A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 7:00pm, at Oliver's Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave).

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St).
