John Sawatzky, beloved husband of Linda, resident of Valleyview, passed away peacefully at Valleyview Health Complex, on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at the age of 74 years.

John was born on December 30, 1941 in Grunthal, MB; the first born son of John and Annie.

John grew up in Grunthal on the family farm. In 1963, John married Evelyn Dyck. Together they had five children. They stayed in Steinbach until moving to Valleyview in 1983. They divorced in 1986. In 2003, he met and married Linda Farley. They resided in Valleyview up to the present time.

He is survived by his wife Linda, his daughters: Shirley (Gary) Daggitt, Nancy (John) Michaels, Sandra Sawatzky, Sylvia (Wayne) Klassen, and son Daniel Sawatzky. Grandfather to ten and great-grandfather to four. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00pm at Valleyview Evangel Pentecostal Church in Valleyview, AB.

Interment to follow at the Little Smoky Cemetery.
