Obituary For John Smith (Vancoughnett)
John Smith (Vancoughnett) of Grande Prairie passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at QEII Hospital, at the age of 81 years.
John was born Mary 15, 1935 in Inverary, ON. He worked in the Trucking Industry all of his life. He enjoyed nothing more than being with his horses, listening to country music, dancing, playing cards, socializing, hunting, fishing, Bacardi and Pepsi. One of his hobbies was working with his gelding Spike.
John lived life to the fullest. He was charming, had a sense of humour and was a story teller.
He will be sadly missed by his partner Alice McCullough; children: Daniel, Cheryl, Victoria, Vincent, Kelly and Darcey; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister Wanda Fellows.
He was predeceased by his son Corey, Luella Hughson, Bertha Kelly, Merle Casnaw, Wendel Vancoughnett and Evelyn Corkey.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Alice McCullough to assist in alleviating expenses at this time.
