Obituary For John Zurock

It is with profound sorrow and love that we announce the passing of John Zurock on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the age of 79 years. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a brief illness.

John will live forever in the memories of his wife of 52 years Lillian; his sons: Randy (Chantel), and Terry (Shanta); brothers Cliff, and Bill (Stella); brother in-law Roland Hill; granddaughters: Michaela, Eilysh, Madeline and Avery; nieces and nephews; as well as many, many more dear friends and relatives.

He was predeceased by his parents Olga and Nick, sister Mary, and sister in-law Ona.

John was born and raised in the Town of Spirit River, the second of four children. He worked and farmed in the area all his life and was never too busy to lend a helping hand. Strangers that met John would inevitably become great friends.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017, at 1:00pm, at the Rycroft Ag Society. John will be interred at the Spirit River Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Lillian, my sincere condolences to you at this time of loss. Unfortunately I was away for a month and was not able to attend John's "Celebration of Life". I will always remember his smile and quick comments on whatever matter came up. I always enjoyed our chats while he worked for the School Division. It was always a pleasure to have John come to the school to do some maintenance work. May the many memories you have of your life together serve to help you through the difficult times now and bring you comfort in the years ahead.
